Foodie Crap: Salumi

This is gonna be a short review and pics will be coming, eventually.

First place we ate at on our trip to Seattle was Salumi. Marinara found it on her search for things to do in Seattle and she said it was good and Bourdain loved it so we went for lunch on Thursday. A little trek from our hotel found us waiting outside their storefront, along with quite a few other people. This, along with a quick peek at their signage outside told me I was gonna be stuffing my face with a good oxtail sandwich within minutes, but sadly this was not to be because we got there late in the day for them, 2 PM. This is late for them because they're only open until 4. And they open shop at 11AM. And they're only open Tuesday through Friday.

Helpful hint: A line out the door and crazy, limited hours are usually a sign of good food.

Since oxtail was gone, I had to settle for grilled lamb with roasted red peppers, onions, gorgonzola, and their special spreads on olive oil bread. Soh settled for Salumi Salami, I think, with onions, gorgonzola, and their special spreads on olive oil bread. My food was fucking awesome, even though the bread was probably the last batch of the day and some of the lamb slices were a little tough, it was still fucking awesome. That's all I have to say about that. I only got to taste a slice of soh's salami and it was fucking awesome. If this place wasn't closed for the weekend we woulda eaten there much more.

At first glance...

Seattle's okay. The hotel is decent, especially for the price (woop woop!), and the room is roooooomy. Much moreso than my many, many rooms at the Marriott in Atlanta.

eri and I just had lunch at Salumi Restaurant. I ordered "whatever the best sandwhich" they have is and eri ordered the Grilled Lamb sandwich with gorgonzola, onions, and roasted red peppers. I was mondo satisfied and I think eri liked his sammich too.

Now we are waiting for mouse and her bro to get here so we can get our aquarium on (I think). <3

dedicated to all the single, err, silly ladies

In perfect silly woman form, I missed the first leg of my flight to Seattle by the skin of my teeth. My speeding didn't save me, my running through corridors and racing up escalators didn't save me, NOTHING saved me.

But thank da lawd for nice guys. It was a nice guy on the shuttle from the park-fly lot that let me know not to hit up the ticket counter but instead go past security and find a gate with ticket-takers to reschedule me on another flight, standby, for free. During the drive to the airport I phoned the airlines to figure out the next scheduled flight, chica said it'd cost the ticket difference + a change fee, to the tune of $850-$900 total.

So, nice guy whose girlfriend is a pilot, thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

Seattle!

I sent an email with junk out to those of you that are going. Read through, pick and choose, let's discuss, SOMETHING! I feel so unprepared and I don't even know what kind of clothes to pack since I don't know what we're doing. :(

In other news, my boss is out of the office today and tomorrow, which means I'm boss! I have no clue what I'm gonna do when I'm on my own. I haven't been able to think of anything that needs to be done all day today. ONOZ

Weather for Seattle is RAIN. Big surprise, eh? Uhh... I really have nothing to blog about BUT I also have no work to keep me occupied so I will continue to type some more useless junk outta my butt.

Or not. I can't think of anything. >_>;

Ya lamers

With your lives and whatnot preventing you from posting. >:O!
